Expat Group in Vlora – Disrespect at Its Finest 🇦🇱

Big Uncle was digging through Facebook groups looking for places to share content… and came across something wild.

A group called Expats in Vlora – foreign residents & digital nomads is out here saying: no Albanians.

Let that sink in.

Foreigners in Albania… making groups about Vlora… and excluding Albanians.

Absolutely disgusting.

And here’s the bigger issue—there are a lot of people out here portraying Albania as something that it’s not. They show up with their own narratives, their own politics, and their own expectations, then try to reshape the place instead of understanding it.

Albania is a socially conservative country with its own culture, its own values, and its own identity. But some of these expats—often coming from rich, developed countries—arrive thinking they’re “escaping” something back home. Whether it’s politics, elections, or just not liking how things turned out, they land here and immediately try to build little bubbles of people just like them.

And what do they do? They exclude the locals.

That’s not just ignorant—it’s disgraceful.

These degenerates don’t want to integrate. They don’t want to learn. They don’t want to understand the country they’re living in. They want to create echo chambers and little foreigner ghettos where they can pretend they’re somewhere else.

If you don’t like Albanian people, then don’t live in Albania. It’s that simple.

Big Uncle doesn’t approve of this at all.

If you’re going to live abroad, you should be doing your best to assimilate, to respect the culture, and to add value—not take away from locals, not compete in ways that hurt them, not disrespect the very people who make the country what it is.

Because the truth is—the thing that makes Albania amazing isn’t cheap rent or “hidden gem” status.

It’s the people.

And a group trying to exclude them is a complete joke.

Do better.
