Summertime Hiring Is Coming — Don’t Wait π»π³
Summertime is right around the corner, and in Vietnam, that means one thing — hiring season is heating up.
So far this year, we’ve still been able to place people in ESL jobs without degrees. That window is still open… but it’s getting tighter every year. Vietnam is slowly cleaning things up, and the reality is simple: time is not on your side.
If you don’t have a degree, this is not something to “wait and see” about. Every year, it becomes less comfortable, less predictable, and more restrictive to teach without one. Right now, there’s still opportunity — but you need to make your move while it’s there.
For degree holders, it’s a different game.
If you’ve got a degree — in pretty much anything — you’re already in a strong position. Native speakers, especially Western candidates, and even European non-native speakers, are still very much in demand. When you have your documents ready, it’s not just about getting a job — it’s about having options.
That’s the real advantage.
You’re not stuck. If one job doesn’t work out, you can move. You can switch employers, redo paperwork, and keep things moving. You’re operating in the “green,” and that gives you leverage that others simply don’t have.
And yes — even with documents, you can still land bad jobs. That’s the reality. But the difference is, you’re not trapped in them.
At Reborn Abroad, we’ve been doing this a long time. We’ve helped hundreds of people start over and build a life teaching English in Vietnam. While we also have networks in China and Cambodia, Vietnam remains our top recommendation for a reason.
It’s still one of the most flexible countries in the region.
More laid back than China, but with enough structure and business culture to actually make money. There’s a strong Western influence, especially in Saigon, and if you play your cards right, you can earn well relative to the cost of living.
That doesn’t mean it’s “cheap” if you’re trying to live a full Western lifestyle — but it does mean you can create breathing room.
You’re not overworked. You have time.
Time to pick up extra hours.
Time to build your own clients.
Time to work on something bigger.
That’s exactly how this started for me — teaching English while building something on the side. Now it’s grown into helping people relocate, find work, and build their own path abroad.
The opportunity is still there — but it’s shifting.
If you’re serious about Vietnam, don’t sit on it.
We offer hourly consulting and coaching, as well as full support packages to help you get set up the right way.
