Another serious drug arrest in Vietnam.

A 43-year-old Nigerian man has been arrested in Ho Chi Minh City after authorities allegedly caught him collecting a shipment containing 2 kg of crystal methamphetamine and two bricks of heroin.

The package reportedly came from Laos and was first discovered at the Lao BαΊ£o International Border Gate on August 5, with the drugs allegedly hidden inside water heaters and electronic components.

Investigators tracked the shipment to Ho Chi Minh City, where the man was arrested on August 9 while allegedly collecting it. According to his initial statement, he had been hired to receive the package and transport it to Hanoi.

The investigation is ongoing.
